Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Biblical Context
Isaiah wrote these words to God’s people during a time of exile and waiting. They felt forgotten. Stuck. Worn out. But Isaiah reminded them that those who place their hope in the Lord don’t stay empty. God renews their strength. He gives them endurance. He lifts them up when they feel too weak to move forward.
Reflection
Waiting seasons are frustrating. You feel stuck. Like progress is on pause. But Isaiah 40:31 reframes the wait as a place of strength renewal, not spiritual stagnation.
When you hope in God instead of hustling in your own strength, He lifts you. He gives endurance. Waiting becomes training.
Don’t waste the wait. Worship through it.
Application
In a place of waiting? Instead of rushing, reflect on what God might be building in you during this time.
Prayer Guide
God, I don’t like waiting, but I trust You in it. Renew my strength and help me stay close to You in the delay.
Reflect & Share
Encourage someone who’s in a waiting season. Remind them the wait isn’t wasted. God is working, even when they can’t see it yet.
Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
