As of today, June 10th, 2019 we at 9INE POINT took another step towards helping athletes achieve their version of greatness. With the acquisition of KHO Labs/ KHO Health, 9INE POINT expands its mission towards helping connect injured people and athletes with the best local health care solutions.
Injuries mentally and physically can derail an athlete’s journey sometimes without them even knowing so. I say this coming from experience. If you have been following the 9INE POINT journey you know that injuries have played a large role in my life. Fractures, concussions, an ACL tear you name it, but I still had this dream.
All my life my dream was to be a student-athlete at The University of Oklahoma. I wanted it so bad. Once the dream was accomplished, I put so much pressure on myself to make sure I kept it. Every track meet, I would get so in my head. Fearing if I don’t run fast enough I might get cut from the team. It repeated this cycle week after week until I called it quit right before the start of junior year season. At the time little did I know I was battling a hidden opponent; anxiety.
I don’t want any other athletes to battle this on their own. Looking back for me I was only a walk-on; there was no scholarship at stake or a million dollar contract at risk. Thanks to the foundation and passion Ian Warner has established with the KHO software and brand we at 9INE POINT are confident that we will be able to build on this to be a resource to help athletes current and former of all ages to prevent and recover from mental and physical injuries.
We are excited for what is in store for the future.
