Formerly known as Cassius Clay, Muhammad Ali was a professional boxer in the heavyweight division. Having his first professional fight on Oct 29, 1960, and having his final boxing match Dec 11, 1981. Over those 21 years, he accumulated a fight record of 56 wins and five losses.
He held the heavyweight championship from Feb 25, 1964, until he was banned from boxing for refusing to participate in the Vietnam war on June 20, 1967. He came back to boxing after having been vindicated by everything and won his belt back in one of the most famous boxing matches of our lifetime “The Rumble In The Jungle” against George Foreman.

One of the most iconic boxers in boxing history is this man. He became a professional boxer in 1947 and became the heavyweight champion in 1952 beating Jersey Joe Walcott. He finished his career undefeated with a record of 49-0. With the most impressive thing having 43 knockouts on his record. He was said to have the hardest punch in the history of boxing. He also defended his title 6 times before retiring from the sport of boxing.
Roy Jones Jr
Roy Jones Jr is in the running for the best pound for pound boxers of all time. He is a former 6-time world champion having won in 4 different weight categories. He’s the only boxer to have started his career at light middleweight and win a world title in the heavyweight division. He is a student and lover of the sweet science. He established a record of 65 wins and nine losses. With 47 of those wins being knockouts. He’s also a fantastic commentator for many of today’s fights.
Manny Pacquiao
Manny Pacquiao may be the most decorated fighter on this list. He is the only boxer to have won titles in 8 different weight classes. 4 of which are from the original weight classes when boxing started. He’s an amazing athlete and person having competed in basketball professionally as well as had his hand in politics being the chairman of the Philippine Senate.
He has a boxing record of 59 wins (38 ko), 9 Losses, and two draws. He has competed against some of the most impressive boxers. Not being afraid to go up or go down in weight to fight whoever challenges him.
Mike Tyson
Arguably the most famous boxer on this list Mike Tyson was on the best boxers while he was boxing and not in trouble. He had the potential to be the greatest of all time if he had the right guidance throughout his career. However, speculation serves no one as we are only here to discuss his body of work. He boxed for 20 years from 1985-2005. He became the undisputed world heavyweight champion at only 20 years old. The youngest boxer in history to do so. He lost his belt in 1990 to Buster Douglas, He then served time in prison. On his release, he looked to regain his title. He did so becoming one of only three others to regain the title after having lost it.

Sugar Ray Leonard was a professional boxer between 1977 and 1997. Gaining a record of 36 wins (25 KO) 3 losses and one draw. He is the first boxer to make over 100 million in purses. Sugar Ray Leonard retired and came back multiple times in his career calling it quit finally in 1997.
George Foreman
“Big George” was a professional boxer between 1969-1977 and 1987-1997. He is a two-time heavyweight champion and competed in one of the best fights in history against Muhammad Ali. He went on to become a fantastic entrepreneur. He’s also an Olympic gold medalist having won in the 1968 summer games.
Joe Louis
Joe Louis was a professional boxer from 1934-1951. Having beat Jim Braddock For the heavyweight championship in 1937 and held it til 1949. He boasts a record of 66 wins (52 KO) and only three losses.
