Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
Reflection
It’s easy for the game to turn into pressure and performance. But remember when you first started. When it was fun, freeing, and full of life?
Psalm 16 tells us that real joy is found in God’s presence. When you invite Him into your practices, games, and goals, joy follows. It doesn’t mean the road is easy, but it keeps your heart light even when the load is heavy.
Competing with joy doesn’t mean you’re not serious. It means you know Who you’re playing for and you trust Him with the outcome.
Application
Before your next workout or game, ask God to restore your joy. Smile. Encourage someone. Compete with joy.
Today Let’s Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
