2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Biblical Context
Paul described a “thorn in the flesh,” something that brought ongoing pain and weakness. He asked God three different times to remove it. However, God didn’t take it away. Instead, He told Paul, “My grace is enough. My power works best right where you feel weak.” Because of that, Paul stopped trying to hide his struggles. He accepted them, knowing God’s strength would show up through them.

Reflection
You won’t always perform perfectly. You’ll fall short, miss the mark, or feel like a failure. That’s part of being human. But the truth is, God isn’t grading your life like a coach; His grace covers the gaps.

Paul learned that weakness was not something to hide but a place where God’s power shines. So when you choose vulnerability, you give others a clearer picture of what real faith looks like. It’s not about having everything together; it’s about being held together by a God who never fails.

His strength carries you.

Application
Confess an area where you’ve been trying to perform for God. Let go and lean into His grace.

Prayer Guide
Jesus, I thank You that grace fills the space where I fall short. Let Your strength be seen through my weakness.

Reflect & Share
Open up to someone you trust about a struggle you’ve been carrying. Your honesty might be exactly what they need to hear.

Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
