Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Reflection
Sports are full of emotions, sometimes frustration, disappointment, even anger. Teammates can break trust, opponents talk trash, and coaches make unfair calls. But as followers of Christ, we’re called to respond differently.
Forgiveness isn’t weakness. It’s freedom. Holding onto bitterness slows you down more than any opponent ever could. Ephesians challenges us to forgive like Christ, completely, even when it’s undeserved.
Your willingness to forgive may speak louder than your stats. It shows where your hope really lies.
Application
Think of someone who wronged you recently, on or off the field. Release them in prayer and ask God to soften your heart.
Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
