John 14:27 (NIV)
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Biblical Context
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples the night before He was crucified. At that moment, they were afraid and confused. Their world was about to fall apart. Yet, Jesus didn’t promise them everything would be easy. He promised them something easy. Instead, He promised something better: His peace. A peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. In fact, a peace the world can’t give and can’t take away.

Reflection
Game day nerves. Life stress. Mental health struggles. Clearly, athletes feel pressure from all angles. However, Jesus offers peace. Not like the world, but a peace that anchors your soul.

John 14:27 is a promise. Therefore, you don’t have to live anxious. God’s peace is not temporary or based on your stats. So, when the pressure builds, pause and remember who is in control. Indeed, His peace is stronger than your storm.

Application
Pause today when stress hits. Then, breathe, pray, and remind yourself: God is with you.

Prayer Guide
Jesus, thank You for peace that lasts. Help me feel it, trust it, and carry it into every part of my life.

Reflect & Share
Reach out to someone who seems stressed or anxious. Ask how they’re really doing. Share this verse with them. Sometimes just knowing someone cares can bring a little peace.

Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
