Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Reflection
It’s easy to get caught up in the crowd: the cheers, the likes, the stats. But Colossians 3 reminds us that true motivation comes from knowing who you’re really playing for.
Whether you’re in the starting lineup or sitting on the bench, your work matters when you do it for God. When you set your heart to honoring Him, everything becomes an act of worship, from your training to your attitude, to how you treat your teammates.
God’s scoreboard is different. He looks at faithfulness, not flash.; purpose, not popularity.
Application
Take 60 seconds before your next practice or game to pray: “God, I give this effort to You. Let me compete with excellence and humility.”
Today Let’s Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
