2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Reflection
Athletes are taught to be strong, to push through pain, and never to show weakness. But Paul flips the script. God’s power shows up most clearly when we stop relying on our own.
Weakness isn’t failure; it’s an invitation. When you admit you don’t have it all together, you make space for God’s strength to work. That might be due to your recovery from an injury, your mental health struggles, or the pressure you feel to perform. Surrender doesn’t disqualify you; it connects you.
Christ meets you where you break, not just where you shine.
Application
Think of one area where you’re trying to push through alone. Invite God into it today and let His power take over.
Today Let’s Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
