Psalm 13:1–2 (NIV)
“How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?”
Reflection
Even the strongest believers go through seasons when God feels silent. David, a man after God’s own heart, poured out his pain with with raw honesty. He felt forgotten and unheard. Maybe you’ve been there too.
Injury, rejection, delay, doubt. There are moments when it seems like God isn’t answering. But silence is not absence. God is still working even when He’s not speaking.
Psalm 13 ends with praise, not because David’s problems vanished but because he chose to trust God anyway. Faith isn’t the absence of questions. It’s clinging to God right in the middle of them.
Application
If God feels distant today, pray Psalm 13 honestly. Then praise Him anyway, trusting that He’s near even in the silence.
Today Let’s Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
