1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (NIV)
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
Reflection
As athletes, we understand the importance of treating our bodies with discipline. But the “why” behind that care matters even more than the habits themselves.
Your body isn’t just a machine. It’s also a temple, a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. That truth changes everything. Nutrition, rest, and training aren’t just about performance. They’re about stewardship.
God cares about your physical well-being because it reflects His investment in you. You were bought at a price. You’re not your own. Competing with faith means honoring your body because it honors Him.
Application
Take one small step today to care for your body, not out of pressure but out of worship.
Today Let’s Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
