Romans 5:3–4 (NIV)
“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
Reflection
Pain is part of the process. Every athlete knows that. But Scripture reminds us that pain can also produce purpose.
God doesn’t waste suffering. He uses it to stretch your perseverance, deepen your character, and grow your hope. That tough loss, that long rehab, that hard benching. He’s shaping you in ways you can’t yet see.
The pain may not feel good, but it can still do good.
Application
Reflect on one hard experience in your life or sport. Ask God to show you how He’s using it for your growth.
Compete with Faith. Grow with His Word.
